Woman arrested for shining laser light at driver of fire engine in San Jacinto

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

At around 3:45 a.m. on June 30th, officers from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to the 200 block of East Main Street to assist CalFire, who had detained a man identified as Irene Levy, 31, of San Jacinto.

When officers arrived, CalFire personnel reported that Levy shined a laser light at the driver of their engine while they were driving on East Main Street, and she had shined the laser at their driver several times earlier in the evening as well.

Levy was taken into custody and booked into the Larry Smith Correctional Facility for aiming a laser light at a moving vehicle and a violation of probation.
