Jurupa Valley gang members arrested for felony vandalism

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

During the month of May, several locations throughout Jurupa Valley were vandalized with graffiti by a local criminal street gang, resulting in approximately $3,000 in damage.   During this ongoing investigation, suspects were positively identified in relation to this case.

At around 11:15 a.m. on June 15th, deputies from Jurupa Valley’s Special Enforcement Team and Riverside County Regional Gang Taskforce, served simultaneous criminal street gang-related search warrants in the 3700 block of Hunter Street and the 9000 block of 65th Street in Jurupa Valley.  During the service of these search warrants, deputies located two suspects and additional evidence of gang activity.

Tyson Gonzalez, 21, and Jonathan Vela, 20, both of Jurupa Valley, were arrested for felony vandalism and committing a felony as a member of a criminal street gang.  They were booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
