News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:
At around 7:00 p.m. on June 19th, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to a sexual assault in the unincorporated area of Lake Elsinore.
The victim, a fifteen-year-old girl, said she was walking home through a field located south of the intersection of Riverside Drive and Laguna Avenue. She was approached by a white male, 6 feet tall in his late 20s wearing glasses and a bandana. The suspect may have a tattoo on his upper right arm.
The suspect engaged the victim in conversation and when she attempted to walk away, he knocked her down from behind and sexually assaulted her. The girl eventually got away and ran home. The suspect ran off in an unknown direction.
Lake Elsinore Station investigators responded and assumed the investigation, which is ongoing at this time.
