News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:
At around 8:00 p.m. June 11th, a Jurupa Valley Police officer on routine patrol contacted a man sitting in a parked car at a local motel. The man was later identified as Gino Lenard Sangs (pictured right), of Jurupa Valley. During the initial contact, it was determined there was an arrest warrant issued for Gino Sangs and he was arrested.
Subsequent to the arrest, the officer located a large amount of money and numerous cashier’s checks in Sangs’ vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that a burglary had been committed in the 2000 block of Gail Drive in Jurupa Valley on June 10th. During the burglary, a safe was removed from the residence containing cash and checks that were located in Sangs’ vehicle. As the investigation continued, more cash and the safe were recovered.
Sangs was ultimately booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for burglary and possessing stolen property.
