Stolen vehicle recovered after short chase from Morongo Casino

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

At around 4:00 p.m. on June 24th, deputies from the Cabazon Station located a reported stolen vehicle in the Morongo Casino parking structure.  While reviewing surveillance footage to determine who drove the vehicle, three adult subjects exited the casino and entered the vehicle.

The deputies on scene attempted to contact the suspects, but they refused the commands and sped away out of the parking garage at a high rate of speed.  The suspect vehicle ran into another vehicle causing minor damage but no injuries.  The suspects continued to drive the stolen vehicle fleeing westbound from the casino for approximately 200 yards at which time the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a small ravine.

Two male suspects, later identified as Alexander Sicairos and Kristopher Oliveira, both from Highland, fled on foot after the crash but were quickly apprehended by responding deputies.

A young woman in the vehicle, identified as Brittney Patterson, 20, of Highland, stayed with the vehicle after the crash.  None of the suspects suffered any injury as a result of the accident.

All three suspects were arrested and booked at the Larry Smith Correctional Facility for charges related to vehicle theft, evading, and possession of stolen property.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station at 951-922-7100 or by email at CabazonStation@RiversideSheriff.org
