News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:
At around 6:00 a.m. on June 2nd, officers from the Jurupa Valley Police Department responded to a report of possible gunshots being fired in the area of the 5000 block of Rutile Street in Jurupa Valley.
Officers arrived and located evidence of a shooting, but no injured parties were located in the area.
A few moments later, officers received a second 911 call reporting an injured male was in the area of 10000 Limonite Avenue, also in Jurupa Valley.
Officers responded to the second location and found a white male adult suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel responded and rendered life-saving efforts to the victim. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
