News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

At around 5:40 a.m. on June 22nd, officers from the Temecula Police Department responded to Rainbow Canyon Road, south of Pechanga Parkway, regarding a motorcycle traffic accident.

Upon arrival, officers determined a motorcyclist on a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle had lost control and crashed on the street.  The motorcycle rider was taken by ambulance to a local trauma center for medical treatment for head and face injuries he sustained in the accident.  His name has not been released.

There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.

Traffic on Rainbow Canyon Road was closed for nearly four hours while officers conducted their investigation.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.
