A Moreno Valley Marine was killed yesterday, June 8th, while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense has confirmed that Corporal Anthony R. Servin, 22, died while conducting combat operations in Helmand province.

Cpl. Servin was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, at Camp Pendleton.

This incident is under investigation.
