Fast food employee stabs disgruntled customer in Hemet

2012-06-22-hem12-0621-1-gabrieljosephvillalba-201226725-d121730003.jpgShortly before 2:00 a.m. on June 21st, deputies from the Hemet Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at a fast food restaurant located in the 41000 block of East Florida Avenue in East Hemet.

Their investigation revealed that a dispute between a male customer and an employee of the restaurant ensued over a discrepancy in the customer’s food order.  The argument escalated to a physical confrontation and the employee stabbed the customer in the abdomen with a knife.

The customer, whose name was not released, was transported by his friends to an area hospital for treatment.  His injury was considered serious, but he is expected to survive.

The suspect, employee Gabriel Joseph Villalba, 28, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.  He was booked at the Larry Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
