The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has launched a criminal investigation after receiving a video link from a television reporter for a video, posted on Facebook, showing two young boys fighting while a man watched them and kept spectators from interfering.  A second adult is believed to have filmed the fight.

The next morning, deputies from the Adelanto Station received a call from anonymous tenants who told them the video taped fight occurred at the Candlewick Apartment complex, and the caller believed Gabriel Gamboa was one of the adults filmed in the video.

Deputies went to the apartment complex in the 11200 block of Chamberlaine Way in Adelanto and located and interviewed Gabriel Gamboa.  Several other tenants were also interviewed, during which the detectives learned that several children in the apartment complex are frequently involved in physical altercations, some of them caused by bullying.

The two victims were determined to be 5 and 6 year-old boys.

Gabriel Gamboa, 23, and his brother Agustin Gamboa, 24, were issued citations to appear in court regarding the incident of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  The complete report will be forwarded to the District Attorney for review.
