The San Jacinto Police Department conducted a DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint on Friday, June 15th from 7:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.at Ramona Expressway and Lyon Avenue in San Jacinto.

DUI checkpoints are conducted to educate the public on the dangers of impaired driving as well as to identify offenders and get them off the street.

The results of this checkpoint are as follows:

• 1,132 vehicles screened
• 1 DUI suspect arrested
• 14 vehicles stored
• 1 arrested on other criminal charges
• 24 unlicensed and suspended drivers sent to court
• 1 felony arrest for possession of illegal drugs
