A bicycle safety rodeo and family bike ride is scheduled for Saturday, June 9th, at Fairmount Park in Riverside.
This free event will be at the Fairmount Park bandshell starting at with registration at 9:00 a.m. and an opportunity to have your picture taken with Mayor Ron Loveridge.
The bicycle safety rodeo is for adults and children ages 5-12, and goes from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. The rodeo includes helmet fitting (includes a free helmet if needed), bike safety inspections, training in a variety of bicycle maneuvers, and certificates for participants.
After the rodeo, enjoy a leisurely family bike ride around the park (helmets are required).
Fairmount Park is located at 2601 Fairmount Boulevard at Market Street, near downtown Riverside.
This bicycle safety rodeo was created by Bicycle Education Specialist Mike Mueller, a licensed instructor with the League of American Bicyclists, who will oversee this rodeo.
