Two Moreno Valley felons have been arrested for a home invasion robbery at a Moreno Valley apartment last month.
At around 11:15 a.m. on May 17th, officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to an armed robbery in progress at an apartment complex located in the 21000 block of Box Springs Road in Moreno Valley.
The victim reported that two black male adults knocked on his door and, when he opened the door, they forced their way in at gunpoint. The victim said he was assaulted inside and had to jump from a second story balcony in order to escape his assailants.
Officers arrived within minutes and saw two black males running through the complex, and then getting into a gray colored vehicle. The suspects fled the complex at a high rate of speed, but officers were able to get the vehicle stopped nearby in the area of Box Springs Road and Interstate 215.
The driver jumped from the still-moving vehicle and ran into the hillside adjacent to Highway 60. Two additional subjects were detained inside the vehicle and a loaded firearm was recovered.
An extensive search was conducted with the assistance of the Riverside Police Department and California Highway Patrol, but the outstanding suspect was not located.
Brian Jamie (pictured top right), 25, of Moreno Valley, was arrested and booked into Robert Presley Detention Center for home invasion robbery, burglary, and felon in possession of a firearm.
Further investigation led to the identification of the driver as Lawrence Salone Jr. (pictured bottom right), 30, of Moreno Valley.
At around 4:00 p.m. on June 19th, officers arrested Lawrence Salone Jr. in the area of Elsworth Street and Sherman Avenue in Moreno Valley. Salone was booked into Robert Presley Detention Center for home invasion robbery, burglary, and felon in possession of a firearm.
