Shots fired during daytime home invasion robbery in Norco; two suspects at large

2012-06-21-map-norco.JPGAt around 4:45 p.m. on June 21st, Jurupa Valley Station deputies assigned to the Norco office responded to a residence located in the 4000 block of Acacia Avenue in Norco concerning a robbery-in-progress, where gunshots were fired.  The neighborhood is near Hamner Avenue and Alhambra Street, just west of the 15 freeway.

Deputies arrived within minutes and learned that two suspects forced entry into the residence and fired a shot from a handgun at the residents, robbing them of their property.  The residents were uninjured.

The suspects fled in a late model four-door sedan prior to deputies arriving.  They were described as two black male adults, possibly in their mid-20’s, wearing dark-colored clothing and in possession of a handgun.

The deputies assigned to the Norco Community Oriented Policing Team are actively investigating this crime.
