Teenaged driver loses control of truck in Menifee

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

Shortly before midnight on May 5th, officers from the Menifee Police Department responded to a report of a single vehicle, injury traffic collision with major injuries on Garbani Road, east of Murrieta Road, in Menifee.

The preliminary investigation showed that a Chevy pick-up driven by William Johnson, 19, of Menifee, was traveling westbound on Garbani Road at a high rate of speed.  The driver lost control of his vehicle, resulting in the vehicle rolling over.  The truck had two juvenile female passengers and one juvenile male passenger.

One male and one female passenger were not wearing their seatbelt and were ejected from the vehicle during the collision.

All three juvenile passengers were transported to Inland Valley Hospital.  The driver was uninjured.

The identities of the juvenile passengers are being withheld.
