Two victims found in possible homicide/suicide at a home in Norco

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

Deputies found two people dead of gunshot wounds in the backyard of a Norco home in what is suspected to be a homicide/suicide.

At around 7:00 p.m. on May 21st, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the 4000 block of Crestview Drive in Norco regarding a call of unknown trouble.  When deputies arrived and attempted to contact the residents, no one responded.

Deputies gained entry into the rear yard of the residence and located a 72-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman deceased on the patio.  Both appeared to have suffered injuries from apparent gunshot wounds.  The case is being treated as a homicide/suicide.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit and the Sheriff’s Jurupa Valley Station responded and assumed the investigation.

The names of the decedents will not be released until the next of kin is notified.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further information has been released.
