Moreno Valley High School teacher arrested for sexual relationship with student

2012-05-31-mvs12-0521-davidscottbrohamer201223365.jpgOn May 24th, a student at Moreno Valley High School reported to the School Resource Officer an inappropriate relationship between a teacher, David Scott Brohamer (pictured right), and a current Moreno Valley High School student.

Detectives assumed the investigation and through the course of the investigation, identified a former student as a potential victim of sexual assault.  Detectives obtained several statements and confirmed an inappropriate sexual relationship occurred between Mr. Brohamer and the victim.  The relationship began when the victim was seventeen years old and continued for several months.

Brohamer was arrested on May 31st for unlawful sex with a minor and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.

Brohamer began teaching at Moreno Valley High School in 2006.  He was the AVID instructor and the boy’s and girl’s golf coach during his tenure.
