News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

2012-05-31-lak12-0529-hensleyadam201223026.jpgA truck stolen from a home in Wildomar early this morning was recovered a short time later and a suspect was arrested for that and other thefts in the area.

At around 3:20 a.m. on May 29th, a 2005 Ford truck was stolen in the 33600 block of View Crest in Wildomar.  About a half hour later, deputies were patrolling the area of Waite Street and Cherry Street in Wildomar and located the stolen truck parked on the side of the road.

Four people were standing by the vehicle and three of them ran from the truck as the deputy attempted to contact them.  As the deputy was detaining one of them, a gray 2006 Toyota coupe was seen speeding away.  The Toyota was located and stopped by additional units that were called to the area.

The driver of the Toyota, Adam Hensley (pictured right), 19, of Canyon Lake, was determined to be involved with the stolen vehicle and additional thefts that occurred in the area.  It was also determined that Hensley was driving under the influence.

The two additional subjects that fled were not located and the investigation is continuing.

The original subject that was detained was determined to not be involved and was released.

Additional items that were found in the truck are believed to be stolen; however the owners of the property have not been located.

Hensley was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, under the influence of illegal drugs and possession of stolen property.  He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Deputy Ricard at 951-245-3300 or 951-776-1099.
