Announcement from the Riverside Police Department:
On Saturday May 19th, officers from the Riverside Police Department will be participating in the annual Push Up for Charity event.
This event involves members of the community, local businesses and sports enthusiasts competing to see who can do the most pushups in 90 seconds. Each person will raise donations for the pushups they complete.
All funds raised will go to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, which provides money and assistance to soldiers wounded in combat and their families.
The event is coordinated by Coach Fatimat of Village Fitness in Orangecrest. Coach Fatimat is an Olympic Medalist and a strong supporter of the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
The Pushups for Charity challenge will take place on Saturday, May 19th, and starts at 9:00 am.
The event is hosted by and held at the Grove Community Church, located at 19900 Grove Community Drive, in the Orangecrest area of Riverside.
