Late-night armed robbery at call center in Temecula

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

An employee working alone in a Temecula call center was overtaken by two gunmen as they robbed the business and assaulted him before fleeing with cash.  They are still at large.

Shortly after 1:00 a.m. on May 24th, officers from the Temecula Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the A Better Tomorrow business, which operates as a drug rehabilitation call center at 28765 Single Oak Drive in Temecula.

Their investigation revealed that the business was closed at the time, with one employee remaining on the premises.  The employee was working alone at his desk when two suspects entered the business from an unlocked door, crept up to the employee, and assaulted him from behind.  The employee was beaten down to the floor and held at gunpoint while the business was robbed.

The two suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the business.  The victim received minor injuries and later sought his own medical attention.

Both suspects were wearing heavy, dark clothing.  One suspect was wearing a hoodie-type jacket, and the other suspect had on a cap that was pulled down low.  Both suspects appear to be medium-to-large-framed males, but there are no further descriptions at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with further information is asked to contact Investigator James Dickey at 951-696 3000.
