Elementary school student reports suspicious man in Lake Elsinore area

2012-05-10-lak12-0507-composite.jpgShortly after 2:00 p.m. on May 8th, officers were dispatched to Cottonwood Elementary School, located in the 32100 block of Lost Road in Lake Elsinore, after a report of child annoying.  The alleged victim was identified as an eight-year-old girl who is a student at the school.

The day before, on May 7th at around 3:15 p.m., the victim was walking on the sidewalk in front of the school when she was contacted by a man who was sitting in his parked vehicle along the roadway edge.  As she passed by, he asked her to get in the car.  The girl ignored him and continued walking to her mother’s vehicle parked nearby.

Upon learning of the incident, the concerned mother contacted school officials the following day.

The suspect is described as a white male adult, 25 to 27 years of age, thin build, with short brown hair and unshaven.  He has a tattoo of an unidentified image and small lettering on the right side of his neck.  He was wearing a red and white striped short-sleeve shirt.

Forensic services was contacted and a composite sketch of the suspect completed (pictured right).

The suspect vehicle is described only as a newer late model, gold four-door with brown interior.  No license plate number was provided by the victim.
