Lake Elsinore felon and another man arrested on drug charges

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

At about 2:30 p.m. on April 24th, officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in the area of Riverside Drive and Walnut Street.  As officers were speaking to the two occupants of the vehicle, they noticed both of them displayed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

A records check revealed the driver to have an outstanding felony warrant.

Officers placed the driver under arrest for the outstanding warrant and arrested the passenger for being under the influence of a controlled substance.  During a subsequent search, officers found the driver to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Bricen Conklin, 25, of Lake Elsinore, was arrested for the felony warrant, possession of a controlled substance, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Andrew Hernandez, 21, of Lake Elsinore, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and violation of probation. Both subjects were transported and booked into the Southwest Detention Center.
