Female accomplice arrested for Moreno Valley robbery thwarted by the victim and Rottweiler dog

2012-04-28-mvs12-0413-mayfieldbrijae.jpgA second suspect has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Moreno Valley on April 13th, when the suspect was thwarted by the robbery victim and his Rottweiler dog.

The robbery took place at a business located in the 22500 block of Alessandro Boulevard.  During the attempted robbery, an employee, who was aided by his pet Rottweiler, managed to wrestle the gun away from the suspect and escape.

Following the arrest of the first suspect, Hakim Salone, officers assigned to the Robbery Suppression team assumed the investigation and followed up on additional leads.  A female accomplice was later identified as Brijae Mayfield (pictured right), 22, of San Bernardino.  It is believed she aided Salone during the commission of the armed robbery.

At about 1:10 p.m. on April 26th, officers conducted surveillance and were able to locate Brijae Mayfield in San Bernardino.

Mayfield was arrested without incident and later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for armed robbery, kidnapping, conspiracy, and possession of stolen property.
