The San Jacinto Police Department conducted a DUI/Safety Checkpoint on San Jacinto Avenue at Midway Avenue in San Jacinto on April 21st from 7:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.
The checkpoint results are as follows:
- 520 Vehicles Screened
- 2 DUI Suspects Arrested
- 10 Citations issued
- 5 Vehicles Impounded
- 8 Unlicensed and Suspended Drivers arrested
The San Jacinto Police Department will be conducting more DUI operations throughout the year in a continued effort to encourage people to drink responsibly and to designate a sober driver.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
