Man robbed at gunpoint in Menifee; one suspect arrested, the other expected to turn himself in

2012-04-11-per12-0409-kennethjamescriger-201215187.jpgAt around 10:30 p.m. on April 9th, deputies from the Menifee Police Department responded to the area of Goetz Road near South Canyon Drive in Menifee after a report of an armed robbery.

The victim alleged that he was seated in his vehicle and was approached by two men who assaulted him and brandished a firearm.

The suspects took property belonging to the victim and fled the location in a black Acura Integra.

Menifee Police Department Investigations Bureau identified the suspects as Kenneth James Criger (pictured right), 25, and Johnny Coring, 25, both of Menifee.

Search warrants were served at both of the suspects’ residences police discovered reported stolen property taken from the victim at the time of the robbery.  Also found during these searches were narcotics and weapons.

Kenneth Criger, was arrested for armed robbery and booked at the Southwest Detention Center.

Johnny Corning is still outstanding.  The Riverside Sheriff’s Department received information that Corning has retained an attorney and will turn himself in at the Perris Police station in the presence of his attorney.
