Play it, Sam…..

In celebration of its 70th anniversary, Casablanca, arguably one of the greatest films of all time, will be shown at over 500 theaters nationwide on Wednesday, March 21.

Presented by Turner Classic Movies, film lovers of all ages will now get to enjoy the iconic film as it should be seen — on the big screen.

Locally, the film will have two showings at the AMC Galleria at Tyler 16: one at 2:00 p.m. and the other at 7:00 p.m.

Casablanca was originally released on Thanksgiving Day in 1942 and won Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director (Michael Curtiz), and Best Adapted Screenplay.

The film stars Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, and Paul Henreid. It was Bogart’s first attempt at a romantic leading role.

You must remember this. A kiss is still a kiss, a sigh is still a sigh….
