Oscar envelopes get buffed and shined

When it comes to the Oscars, everything has to be perfect… including the elegant sealed envelopes that hold the announcement winner cards. They are being carefully hand buffed and polished for the presentation on Sunday.

The cards have been slightly redesigned to help make it easier to remove them from the envelopes.

The 84th Annual Academy Awards will be broadcast on Sunday, February 26, from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
