Arguably the greatest right handed hitter of our generation, Manny Ramirez will report to Oakland Athletics camp Friday after signing early in the week, reportedly for a paltry $500,000 salary. Is he worth the risk?

At nearly 40 years old, in retirement since last season and still on a 50-game suspension for steroid use, there’s no way of knowing if he has anything left in his tank. Or how long it will take him to get back into shape. Some say Manny’s best days are behind him. Others say he still has something to contribute.

With over 500 career home runs, 21 career grand slams, and a fixture at the All-Star game, the Dominican-born outfielder most recently played for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox.
