Metal thieves caught in the act and arrested in Wildomar

Shortly before 6:00 a.m. on February 6, Wildomar police officers were dispatched to the 32000 block of Green Harvest Court in response to a report of suspicious activity.

Upon arrival, the officers observed four men dismantling a large metal microwave tower with the aid of a cutting torch.

The officers detained the four suspects, all residents of Wildomar and identified as James Alva Lemoine, 46; Sam Anthony Musia II, 49; Beau Christian Beck, 29; and David Wayne Benjamin, 46 (pictured below, left to right).

Officers identified the property owner to be American Tower.  A representative of the company was contacted and responded to the scene, identifying the suspects as trespassers.

The company representative estimated the damage and theft of materials at the location to be in excess of three hundred thousand dollars.

All four suspects were subsequently arrested and booked at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta.
