A French Valley resident ignored knocking on the front door and later discovered two burglars inside the house.
On February 21 shortly before 3:00 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 35000 block of Via Santa Catalina in French Valley regarding a burglary in progress. Deputies arrived within minutes of receiving the dispatched call.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the resident was inside the home when two suspects knocked on the front door, received no answer, and jumped the fence to the back yard.
The suspects entered the home through an unlocked rear door, and began to unplug electronic items inside the residence.
The homeowner confronted the suspects, who fled the residence on foot before deputies arrived.
The suspects were described as a white male and a white female in their 20’s.
A search of the area was conducted for the suspects, and they were located a short distance from the victim’s residence.
The victim positively identified the white male and white female as the burglary suspects.
The suspects, identified as Joseph Hayden, 20 (upper right), and Brittany Ball, 22 (lower right), of Temecula, were arrested for burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, and were transported to the Southwest Detention Center.
