New Jersey residents hold vigil and cheer the arrival of singer Whitney Houston’s body at Whigham Funeral Home in Newark.

Houston’s body left Burbank Airport on a private jet on Monday afternoon.

Private services, by invitation only, have been announced for Saturday, February 18, in Newark.

There had been speculation of a public memorial at the Prudential Center arena, also in Newark, but the funeral director said today that there are currently no plans for a public memorial, stating that the family wishes to keep the memorial service more private and personal.
