It was her voice, the unique sound of Etta James, which was featured in Super Bowl 2012. It was heard in a commercial for Budweiser on Sunday.The Riversider, who died on January 20, 2012, is sampled in the current song by Flo Rida, called “Good Feeling,” which includes Etta James’ “Something’s Got A Hold On Me.”

Billboard reported that Flo Rida learned of her death while in a recording session. “I saw an e-mail and was like, ‘Oh my God.’ She’s been a super contribution to this record,” according to the Billboard report.

Etta James died at Parkview Community Hospital. She had lived in the Woodcrest area of Riverside for many years, and had a recording studio in her home, where she recorded 15 collections of music.
