Compliance check of registered sex offenders in Perris area is clear

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

On February 22, investigators and officers from the Perris Police Department conducted sexual registrant compliance checks at 41 locations in the city of Perris and the surrounding area.

All persons checked were in compliance with their registration requirements. No arrests were made.

The main objective of the operation was to determine the accuracy of the residence information provided by each registered sex offender as required by law. Operations like this, which are done on a random basis throughout the county, are also intended to let registered sex offenders know that law enforcement officials are actively monitoring their compliance.
