Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II marks sixty years as monarch

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II marks 60 years as monarch by visiting a school in the east of the country, while gun salutes in London celebrate the occasion.

She is the second longest reigning monarch except for Queen Victoria who reigned for nearly 64 years.

Major celebrations of her Diamond Jubilee will take place over four days in June.
