The UC Board of Regents saw a less-friendly crowd on Thursday. The group charged with making decisions about how the 10 UC campuses are operated has been criticized for approving increases in tuition.
Their meeting was scheduled, and followed an earlier meeting where they approved the cost of a UC eduction. On Thursday the anger of UC students resulted in tense standoff with UC police, and what appeared to be at least one arrest.
The campus was surrounded by UC police, sheriff’s deputies and Riverside officers.
