On January 16, 2012 at 10:05 p.m., Lake Elsinore deputies conducted an enforcement stop on a U-Haul truck in the area of Lorimer Street and Broomall Avenue in Lakeland Village.
During the stop it was learned the driver, Christopher Daniels of Lake Elsinore, had an outstanding felony warrant for attempt grand theft. A female passenger, later identified as Hannah Cropper, was detained at the scene.
A search of the truck revealed clothing items with the security tags still attached.
Further investigation determined the items to be stolen from Kohl’s department store in Murrieta.
Murrieta Police were contacted and it was confirmed the items were stolen from Kohl’s. It was not immediately known how much the items taken were worth.
Daniels was arrested for his felony warrant and receiving stolen property, and Cropper was arrested for receiving stolen property. Both were transported and booked into the Southwest Justice Center.
