Traffic diverted in Lake Elsinore after pedestrian hit by car

On January 22 shortly after 8:00 p.m., officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to a report of a traffic collision in the 32600 block of Mission Trail.

It was reported that a white sedan struck a woman as she walked southbound on Mission Trail.

Officers arrived on scene and found the victim lying in the roadway.  She was transported by ambulance to Inland Valley Medical Center for moderate injuries.

The occupants of the vehicle were not injured.

Southbound traffic on Mission Trail was diverted around the scene for two hours.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision.
