On Friday, January 20 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m., California Pizza Kitchen restaurant at the Riverside Plaza is sponsoring an event to raise money for the Riverside Police Foundation.

The newly formed Foundation is a charitable organization created to fund youth programs within the police department.  The goal of the Police Foundation is to promote public safety, improve quality of life in our community, and strengthen the partnership between Riverside youth, parents, community members, and the Police Department.

In addition to the fundraiser, police personnel will be on hand to promote safety programs and answer questions.

Riverside Police Department’s Traffic Education Coordinator will be providing information on the new child restraint law and making appointments for free car seat checks.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children.

The Volunteer Mounted Posse and Police K-9’s are also scheduled to make an appearance.
