On Monday, January 16 shortly after 6:00 p.m., deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Department responded to Mission Boulevard west of Pedley in reference to a reported major injury traffic collision.
The investigation revealed that a pedestrian, identified as Adelina Gonzalez, 45, of Jurupa Valley, had been walking north across the eastbound lanes of Mission Boulevard when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation to determine the cause of the traffic collision is continuing. Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Jurupa Valley Station at (951) 955-2600.
