New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada calls it quits

After 17 years with the New York Yankees, veteran catcher Jorge Posada announced his retirement today at an emotional press conference held at Yankee Stadium in New York.

With 7 World Series appearances and 5 World Series titles, the legendary ballplayer has achieved a .374 career On Base Percentage and .474 career Slugging Percentage. Only three other catchers in baseball history have held numbers as high.
