Betty June Spradling, of Menifee, CA passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 2, 2012. Betty was born in Hillsboro, Texas in 1930.

She moved to Torrance, California and married Karl Spradling in 1964 and together they raised one daughter, Karla. Karl was a commercial airline pilot and as a family they traveled extensively. There were many memorable camping and skiing trips.

Betty was very creative and dabbled in painting, crafting, and scrap booking. Karla especially recalls Betty teaching her to sew. Betty and Karl moved to Canyon Lake in 1973 and then to the Oasis in Menifee in 2002. They were very proud to be founding members of Canyon Lake Community Church.

Betty had a sharp sense of humor and a good heart. She set a strong example for her family, attending church and bible studies regularly. She shared a good interest in writing and could fill a notepad in a hurry.

Being an avid baseball fan, she was always watching and rooting for the Angels and enjoyed season tickets for The Lake Elsinore Storm. She and Karl were involved in R.V. travel groups in Canyon Lake (Rovers Travel Club) and Menifee (Nomads Travel Club).

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Karl Spradling and her brother Thomas Shotwell.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Marc Lundin; 2 grandchildren, Marcus, Jr and Kinsey; and her brother James Lynn Shotwell.
