Albert Steward passed away January 4, 2012 in Newbury Park, CA at his daughter’s home where he was being cared for at the age of 89 years. Born July 6, 1922 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he had lived in Riverside for 35 years.
Mr. Steward served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Ordnancement 1st Class receiving an honorable discharge. Albert was a Vice President for Security National Bank for 38 years. He was a member of the Corona RC Club, Circle City Flyers, Goeske Senior Center, Indian Hills Country Club and CCC.
Albert is survived by his loving daughters Terryl Shearwood, Debbie Johnston and Lynn Coleman. Devoted grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Fern Steward in 2007.
Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, January 13, 2012 in Akes Family’s “Chapel of The Chimes” at 9:30 A.M. with interment following in Riverside National Cemetery. 9695 Magnolia Ave. Riverside, CA 92503 (951) 785-4071.
