They’re working fast to open the doors on December 1 at Mazz Bar and Grill. It will be the newest restaurant at the Riverside Plaza. And the owner is competing with his former employer. Ray Garcia Sr. was an executive at the company which owns El Torito, also in the plaza, but Garcia left the company with a desire to stay in the restaurant business.
Not only is Mazz bringing a new dining experience to the Riverside Plaza, it’s bringing jobs. On Tuesday the company plans to hold a job fair next to the restaurant. People will be able to fill out applications and be interviewed. Garcia hopes to hire as many as 80 workers.
The new company also has plans to open more similarly-themed restaurants; as many as six.
