Netflix Inc. and NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution will continue their partnership, and add more NBC and Universal content. The announcement was made by both companies.
NBC’s shows, which have been popular on television, will be available via Netflix. NBC produces programs like The Office, 30 Rock and Parenthood.
Netflix is also offering the ability to watch the content instantly by streaming it directly from the media provider, which is well known for its DVD-by-mail service.
NBC’s television programs will run first on the network, and be available the next season on Netflix.
“We are very pleased that Netflix recognizes the increasing value of NBCUniversal’s extensive content offerings for their subscribers,” according to Frances Manfredi, executive vice president and general sales manager, NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution.
