L.B. Chandler (Husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather) The Chandler family regretfully informs you of his passing on Monday, June 6, 2011. L.B. was born in Wilson, Oklahoma on Dec. 22,1928.
He had lived in Riverside for 56 years. He worked for Goodrich (Rohr Industries) in Research and Development, retiring after 32 years. He liked to tinker with cars, enjoyed family gatherings, loved to interact with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Brigid I. Chandler; daughter Theresa Hampton, and son Vernon Chandler; grandchildren: Cherie Chandler, Summer Havens, Christopher Chandler and Autumn Hampton; great-grandchildren: Kali and Alexis Havens; his sister Dorothy and brothers Walter, Coleman and Jerrell; and many nieces, nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons Joseph and Kevin Chandler, brothers Robert and James Chandler and sister Irene Smith; grandson Vernon Chandler, Jr.
He had lived a great life that was full of love and happiness. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Papa we love you.
Viewing will held on June 9, 2011, 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Services will be held June 10, 12:30pm both at Sierra Memorial Chapel, 4933 La Sierra Ave, Riverside, CA 951-687-0551. Burial services will be held at Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Ave, Riverside, CA at 2:00pm.
