News headline from the Riverside Police Department:
On Wednesday, Riverside Police officers responded to 6215 Palm Avenue regarding a suspicious device.
On arrival, officers contacted construction crew members that were working in the back yard of the home when they located a device that looked like a “torpedo with wings.” After finding the device they immediately called 911.
The Riverside Police Department Technical Services Unit responded to the scene and determined the device they located was an inert military aerial ordinance.
After Technical Services Unit Detectives discovered the device was non-explosive, officers cleared the scene.
