In an effort to bring people together to help the with the tsunami recovery needs in Riverside’s devastated Sister City of Sendai, Japan, the City of Riverside has launched an information and donation web page. Tax deductible donations toward the relief effort may be made online and are being accepted in person at Riverside’s City Hall.

An opportunity for the community to offer input on fundraising and other relief efforts for the City of Sendai will take place at a meeting at the Riverside City Council Chambers, on Monday, March 21, at 3:00 p.m.

Riverside Mayor Ronald O. Loveridge said, “The past exchanges of friendship between Riverside and Sendai have been many, and they have been meaningful. If there ever was a time to extend our hand of friendship, that time is now.”
