Pauline “Polly” Bower, of Hemet, was born to E.P. & Elzada Earhart on August 30, 1922 in Lubbock, TX. She graduated high school in Woreforth, TX in 1939, attended Drauns Business School.
Married Glenn E. Hapke in Yuma, Arizona on July 1940, residing in California in Long Beach, Fallbrook and settling in Hemet for the reminder of her life. Glenn preceded her in death. She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star. Her last chapter was Tahquitz-Victoria 241. She was also a board member of Sierra Dawn, an active member & board member of Church of Religious Science in Sun City & Hemet. She also belonged to Coin Club & Model “A” Car Club of Hemet.
Survived by brother Hugh Earhart of Phoenix, AZ; daughter Glynda Hapke-Archambeault of Valley Center; 3 grandsons David Shaw, Brian (Marsh) Shaw, Robert (Brandy) Archambeault; 3 precious great grandchildren. Also her surviving spouse Bill Bower whom she married in 1999.
Polly’s celebration of life will be Saturday January 29, 2011 at 11:00am at Center for Spiritual Living in Hemet. She will be greatly missed by her sweet smile and wonderful giving spirit. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Elizabeth Hospice of Escondido, 150 Crest St., Escondido, CA 92025 or Center for Spiritual Living, Hemet.
