Castle Park to host safety fair for families and children

The Riverside Police Department Traffic Education Unit will host the 13th Annual Traffic Safety Fair this Saturday at Castle Park in Riverside.  This year’s theme is “All Roads Lead to Safety.”castleriv22.jpg

The day-long event will feature a Police helicopter, vehicle, and motorcycle displays, Police K-9 demonstrations, RFD Fire Safety House, and much more.  There will be a free DUI simulation driving course, fingerprinting for children and photo opportunities with Officer McGruff and Buckle Bear.

Free helmets will be provided to the first 50 children to successfully navigate the Riverside Police Departments Safety City.

This family educational event will be held at Castle Park, 3500 Polk Street, on Saturday, October 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Children will receive raffle tickets when they visit safety booths and drawings will be held throughout the day for a chance to win bicycles and gift certificates.

Children will also receive a discount on an unlimited ride pass for Castle Park for visiting the safety booths.
