Shooting at Van Buren Boulevard drive-in theater

On August 28th, at approximately 10:10 p.m., police received a call of a shooting at the Van Buren Drive-In. Riverside Police Officers located three victims.

Detectives from the Gang Unit and personnel from the Forensic Evidence Unit responded to the scene.

As a result of the preliminary investigation, detectives discovered that a physical altercation occurred between several male subjects. During the physical altercation, shots were fired and a victim was struck.

The shooting victim drove himself to a local hospital where he received medical aid. Two other victims were treated at the scene for injuries resulting from the incident and transported to a local hospital.
